Lindsey grew up as the second of 8 children and was homeschooled kindergarten – 12th grade. She attended New Tribes Bible Institute for two years before earning her degree in elementary education.
After school, Lindsey spent the next ten years gaining experience teaching in both public and private schools, in Wisconsin and California. Her favorite parts of teaching were deep conversations with students about life, introducing children to amazing books and a love of reading, and figuring out how to create a safe space for exploration, mistakes and curiosity.
In 2015, her son was born, and she left full time teaching to spend as much time with her family as possible. During this time, she started an online business writing literature curriculum for teachers. She finds great joy in contributing to the quality of teaching programs and lightening the heavy load placed on teachers.
In her spare time, Lindsey loves taking walks in the sunshine with her 2 kids and her husband (who is also a teacher), learning as much as she can about how to do life better, and having lively conversations with friends and family about the important things in life.
